Listehol was always far from a pleasant world. The small, far-outer-rim planet was peopled by a menagerie of thieves, pirates and slavers, a hive for the scum of the galaxy. Few realized how much worse it could get.
It started as a sudden riot. In a world where a person going out of home with a repeating blaster or a thermal detonator was not a rare sight, that riot quickly escalated into a gangwar, and then into complete devastation.
The largest city in Listehol, built around a large, ancient and mysterious spaceport, had many of its districts completely leveled. In the midst of it, a Victory-class Star Destroyer dropped into the system and disgorged its complement of shuttles, starfighters and landers. Within moments, troopers were taking over the city, walkers surrounded it and Tie-fighters swarmed above it. In the midst of it all, two groups of force-users dueled each other with lightsabers and force powers run amuck.
By all reports, the Star Destroyer was operated by Inquisitors out of the distant imperial faction called the Pentastar Alignment, who had deemed it worth their time to interfere in the local affairs. Listehol had been claimed by Warlord Zsinj for most of a year, however, making the invasion and quarantine an act of war.
The Empire has now allied with Pentastar Alignment, backing up the decisions of the inquisitors, while Zsinj's diplomatic corps (such as it is) has thus far failed to come to any kind of an understanding or settlement. War seems inevitable.
The inquisitors have departed the world, leaving the largest settlement on it a burning ruin.
