Flickers in the Dark: There was no warning, no build up. But across the galaxy, all those with the slightest affinity for the Force could sense it. Like a bell rung, it was a solemn note, long and reverberating. The closer one got to the edge of the Unknown Regions in the Galactic north, the louder and more pure that note rang. It was hauntingly beautiful, a one note dirge for a murdered star. One. Two. Three. Then it was over, and all that was left was a strange ethereal silence that defied explanation.
The other results would come later, a subtle but definite shifting in the hyperlanes along that edge of space, old rarely used lanes fading entirely, heavily traveled lanes finding subtle shifts to their topologies that added just a little time as things were twisted. Very clearly something had happened, and within hours Imperial, First Order and Zsinji scientists would be tasked to find out what.
Or, perhaps more appropriately, who.
