Set nearly a year after the Battle of Endor. The Rebellion Era is over, the Empire is on the defensive and being pushed back, chaos rules over much of the galaxy as the New Republic has yet to find its footing. Both timelines accepted so long as they do not directly, irreconcilably contradict each other. More information here: rphlongterm.wixsite.com/starwars

[21:00:32]Fett
Being dead hadn't suited Boba Fett. Or rather being gone long enough that the rumors of his death were able to take hold didn't. Regardless of how little the Mandalorian disliked extended periods of down-time, being partially digested did somewhat demand a long recovery time. Perhaps a bit longer than Fett had allowed himself, given the circumstances. But most of what he suffered now was simple discomfort. Discomfort could be ignored for the sake of the job. Reconstructing his arsenal was almost as difficult as reconstructing his body, Boba had employed various bits of specialized equipment, customized to meet varied and specific metrics all set up to ensure optimum performance. The reconstruction was far from complete, but Fett had received news that took priority: Someone was trading on his name. Like every weapon mounted on the platform that was his armor, Boba Fett used his reputation as a tool. It made gunslinger's hesitate, it loosened bartender's lips, and it precluded any sort of haggling or negotiations in terms of his price. It was a consequence of being 'dead' that someone would even make the attempt. It was a private auction for what was supposedly the "head of Boba Fett". Likely some random spacer's head shoved into a mandalorian helmet, given that his own head was still firmly attached to his neck. It was even more of a far-flung idea given that the widely accepted cause of Boba Fett's death was via Sarlaac. But despite the fact that most of the intergalactic criminal community dismissed the auction, it was an affront Fett could not let stand, which leads us to why he was here on Onderon. Initial observation suggested light security, a half-dozen humans, all armed with blasters, a Trandoshan, and a Aqualish hefting around a repeater he could barely carry. Chances were they were more a cursory show of strength than anything else, after all there was no reason to expect any trouble. Even with the lowered security, Fett opted for subtlety. The reasons were twofold: He didn't have his typical arsenal available and surprise would be more disarming than his 'legend' as it were.
[21:00:41]Fett
The Bounty-Hunter glanced up at the balcony he'd chosen for his entry-point while counting down in his head. Once his count hit zero, Fett sprung into action, launching a grapnel up at the polished stone, once the hook caught, he pulled himself up onto the balcony and slipped in through the open door. The guard, who's patrol he'd been timing stepped out around a corner just as Fett had predicted, before the human could get to her blaster however, Fett punched his vibro-blade into the side of her neck, his other arm slipping around her waist in an almost intimate hold. Fett lowered her down to the immaculately cleaned floor, as her mouth worked at either trying to gasp in air or cry out in alarm, either way, all she was able to do was gurgle, spit, and drown in her own blood. Fett tossed her blaster back out off the balcony and continued stalking through the dimly lit corridors, his own blaster now in-hand. The auction was being held in a sound-proofed assemblyroom deeper in the manor, which allowed him a relative amount of leeway as he picked apart the security forces. "And now we come to the jewel of my collection, the reason I'm sure most of you are here." Sallaros unclasped the box his 'prize' had been in as he spoke he set the head on a pedestal and stepped aside so that all in attendance could see "I believe we'll start bidding at-" whatever preposterous sum he was going to charge for the forgery was interrupted by the assembly room's door exploding inwards and the report of a heavy repeater. Most of Sallaros' guests were either killed or injured by the barrage, Sallaros himself took cover behind one of his other displays. When the firing stopped however and the smoke cleared, he almost wished he'd been hit by the initial barrage. "B-B- You're dead! They told me!" the masked figure standing amidst the carnage clearly wasn't an apparition, and given the brutal efficiency in which a room full of assorted mercenaries, bounty-hunters, and assorted criminals had been dealt with. It was difficult to deny that the masked figure was who it appeared to be. "Listen, Fett, buddy. We go back a w-" again Sallaro was cut off, this time by the report of Fett's blaster. With that done, Boba Fett turned and left, leaving more wounded than dead in the assembly-hall. After all, survivors would be able to spread the word: Boba Fett is back.

Jeramiah was fooling no one- He was clearly half in the bag. Sure, he wasn't obnoxiously intoxicated or unable to function like a regular human being, but he definately wasn't at 100%. He dug through his pocket in a Deathstick induced haze, sorting out the few handfuls of credits he had left. Enough for breakfast, a couple of drinks, and maybe his fee to get offworld. He needed a job, badly. He needed breakfast even worse. If you could really call it breakfast in the middle of the day, maybe. He didn't remember pocketing the change and stumbling to the nearest cantina, but before he knew it he was there. He groaned as he tossed a coin onto the table, and eventually food would be brought to him... maybe. Luckily, in his drunken stupor he had also forgotten to pull his shirt back over the blaster holstered at the small of his back. This made most of the thugs in this slightly above wretched hive of scum and villainy think twice about trying to start something with him. He pulled his messy imperial undershirt back over the weapon, before staring off at the bottles of force-knows-what behind the bar.

*Sadly at times when you dwell among the wicked and depraved you might just attract something akin to a monster or a demon... If you're very unlucky however, you'll attract something like Anzek. Anzek was passing through Ord Mantell on business and chose to stop at the station above Ord Mantell for a drink and maybe a bit of female company. He's a large made with a muscled build and one who is dressed in what appears to be fine silk of some sort, the kind of silk only people with real credits to burn can afford. The outfit he wears is clearly tailor made and he sits in the VIP area of the bar sipping Corellian rum when a bit of commotion catches his eye. He glances over to notice what appears to be some drunk going for the liquor behind the bar. He raises an eye brow then shakes his head* What a waste of fine liquor... * He looked over at two of the hired goons accompying him and with a snap his fingers a rather large wookie standing 10' feet tall and one very unpleasant Rodian lean in close then after a few whispered words one of them takes a scan of Jeremiah only to check the read out against the holonet record systems. After informing Anzek of the basic info of the man he signals them and then move to approach Jeremiah and lays hands on him, unless he resist of course, and seek to drag him over to Anzek's table to stand before him.*

[21:33:32]Shaena Karath
If there was one good thing about the chaotic state of the galaxy, it was that social mobility was a great deal easier than it had been with alot of important people dead and the rest fighting for scraps. Shaena had spent almost a decade as some mail-order bride and though she had grinned and bared it, she would be damned if it would all be for naught. But no climb was ever accomplished alone, and she needed talented people to help her along. It was a good thing there so many imperials questioning their loyalties these days. It was for this reason that she found herself stepping briskly into the Cantina, giving a glance around. It was a wretched hive of scum and villainy to be sure...but that meant assets.
[21:45:17]Jeramiah Thrall
Jeramiah was perfectly content being left alone, when he felt the unmistakable grip of a wookie on his shoulder. Jeramiah sighed and spun to face the Wookie, and the Rodian. Midway through the goobly gook the Rodian was spouting, Jeramiah's hand whipped up from his back, drawing his A180 pistol out to shove in the Wookie's nostril. The blaster whined to life as Jeramiah clicked the safety off. "I hear a wookie can rip an arm out of it's socket in less than a second, but I know for a fact I can pull a trigger twice in the time it takes you to think about it. Maybe if you're lucky, I'm too drunk to kill the bug, too. But I wouldn't bet your ship on it. So, you-" he nodded to the Rodian "-Go back to your boss, and tell him I ain't interested in getting pushed around, and you-" he nodded to the Wookie, "-plant your mangey ass on that barstool, so I don't grease the pretty lady in the corner behind you when I double tap whatever passes for a brain in that fluff ball skull of yours. And when your friend comes back, you can leave. Fair?"
[21:52:41]Anzek Dirano
*Beyond the growling of whatever the wookie tried to stay the Rodian went for his blaster but neither he nor the Wookie moved. All eyes of the patrons in the Cantina were on them now. Anzek watched cooly from where he sat. He lifted his glass of Corellian whiskey to his lips and took a deep pull. Jeremiah was quick, that was good. Even given his intoxicated state he showed gusto and most of all he showed he could still use his military training when a bit inebriated. Anzek liked what he saw from the man with an Imperial shirt and very smartly chosen sidearm. He stood and began to approach the trio* Easy. No one needs to be shot just yet. * The Roadian stepped aside and when Anzek was a few feet from Jeremiah he held his hands up. * Easy soldier, no one needs to die just yet. * He then turned towards the Wookie* I told you to invite him over, not man handle him. Have more respect for Imperials you have wit beast. * The wookie seemed offended and whatever he said Anzek simply shrugged* You're the one with a blaster barrel stuck in your hairy nose, I don't think you're in any position to be making demands. * He lowers his left hand but not before clapping the Rodian on the side of the face* You I would expect to have a little more sense... This is why you should hire humans. * He says with a bit of contempt before looking over to Jeremiah* Forgive them they are just simple minded aliens after all. Not like you and me... Who'd you serve with soldier? * He moves his right hand slowly to open his suit coat and show a pin upon his lapel which is the emblem of the royal guard* I'm not your enemy here. Let's talk a moment, you and me.

Shaena Karath watched the scene unfold with the rest of the patrons in the cantina, hands clasped behind her back. It was an odd mix to be sure, she noted the man with the imperial undershirt on one side and another human male that had the insignia of the royal guard sharing the company of the aliens. Odd indeed. She decided she was at leat in friendly-ish company though and approached them both, ignoring the aliens like they weren't even there. "Gentlemen." she greeted with a nod. "Colonel Shaena Karath, Imperial Intelligence Bureau. How do you do?"

Great. More people that thought they were important. At first, Jeramiah thought he had it under control, until Anzek reached for his coat to reveal something. Jeramiah made the assumption that it was a weapon, and moved into action. He squeezed the trigger reflexively, blowing a scorched hole through the Wookie's ear canal (He had turned to face his boss by now, after all). Just as quickly as he'd drawn it, he turned the weapon on the Rodian. The alien received two bolts to the chest and one to the nose in the time it took him to draw his own weapon. The muzzle of the weapon then turned on Anzek, but he didn't pull the trigger yet. Judging by the smoke coming from the muzzle of his blaster, he was likely to overheat it shooting that fast. When he saw the pin of a Royal Guard, however, there was just a brief moment of "Whoops, that was a little much" on his face, before he turned his eyes on the Colonel. "See? See how she does it? She walks up, she says hello." He explained, before turning his gaze back at Anzek. "She, most importantly, did not make me spill my drink. You, did."

[22:23:58]Anzek Dirano
*Well that escalated quickly. He hand one hand draped down at his side and the other still held up near his suit coat. The woman approached and after two shots felled his ex employees and there they all stood looking at each other…* Ahem… Colonel. * He said solemnly after the two bodies hit the floor. The rest of the patrons had started to clear and when the bartender moved for his comlink sighed then shook his head at him. While not a highly and hugely known crime lord he was one with power in this sector and anyone who know the Dirano mafia wouldn’t want to cross them.* Did I? I do believe the two men you just dropped made you spill your drink, me? I just saw a fellow soldier and decided to have a bit of a chat but if we’re going to get hostile. *A slight wave of his hand would be made and a strong telekenitc force would be applied to wrench the weapon from Jeremiah’s hand and pull it to Anzek’s own. Unless the man had some way of seeing it coming or was able to stop him he would soon be holding the blaster in his hand* Not a bad weapon but I can make better ones. * At that point he revealed his hand a little for that one action would speak volumes about him. Some had whispered about Force users among the ranks of Palaptines elite and this two just so happen to be in the presence of one* Ahem… Everyone seems so uptight. Maybe we got off on the wrong foot… * He would set the blaster down on the bar then gesture at the nearest table* There, now we can all be friends and act civil yes? Sit and let’s talk and cool our heads… As for you soldier, let me pay for your meal, your spilled drink and then a few more, yes? If you don’t like what I have to say then go your way in peace for we both worked for the same side right? * He then glances over at the Colonel and as a show of respect adds in* Any objections, Colonel?* Anzek seemed to care not at all for the dead aliens*

You’re not thinking clearly. Do I look like a Jedi to you? * He remained calm despite the fact that Jeremiah is nearly spitting fire and venom at him with his glare and his words. There are number of ways he could approach this situation be it through brute force or diplomatic terms but brute force is just that, how a brute reacts. Anzek is sharper and far better trained than that. He remains cool and calm as always.* The Jedi are all but dead and everyone knows that. I served the Empire just as you did… You might not know about men like me but I’m sure the Colonel here can. * The ISB always had their knows in business even when they should be prying but that’s what made them unrivaled when it came to collecting intell* You’re angry, I understand. * He could sense Jeremiahs surface emotions, not fear but anger and disgust. Anzek didn’t need to try and change those emotions but instead redirect them. Thinking quickly he looked over at Shaena* Colonel you said? Well I think she outranks us both, so unless you’re willing to defy two Imperial officers of unquestionable status maybe you should take this last chance to calm yourself. * About that time Anzek would turn slightly and just enough so his cloak would slide back to reveal what can only be a lightsaber latched to the side of his belt. He’s no Jedi that’s for sure but clearly trained in the force. That alone usually deters most from testing him, that and his status as a Royal Guard who are known for their deadly training* Colonel? * He says referring to the highest ranking as if to signal her to take control of the volatile situation*

Shaena Karath made a show of clearing her throat. She had no desire to see this devolve further, and the fact one of the men could wield the Force and the other seemed the best skilled man with a blaster she had ever seen meant it could get really, really ugly. "That is correct." she said smoothly. She knew that Palpatine employed Force sensitives in a variety of roles, including his bodyguards. The lightsaber was a bit of a surprise though. She shook her head. "I'm not going to ask why you aren't deployed somewhere, trying to stop the advancing rebels...." she looked to Jeramiah as she said that. "And I'm not going to ask why you are even here, and not dead at Endor like any royal guard should be...." the royal guards guarded the Emperor. It was in their bloody name, after all. "I'm going to offer you both the chance to right the ship, so to say. The Empire needs you, all of us."
[22:57:21]Jarrik Muuziek
Throughout all this Chaos, there was ONE thing somewhat out of place. Leaning back in a chair and seemingly mostly spaced out was Jarrik. He was taking a break from his usual shipping job and thought he'd stop for a drink. But given the commotion, that peaceful day didn't go so well. Regardless, Jarrik was sipping away, casually listening to that conversation. Jarrik was dressed simply. A black leather vest overtop of a simple grey-blue shirt, black pants, and boots. Typical look for a Corellian freighter pilot. Or smuggler. But to anyone force-sensitive, the former Jedi did give off a bit of a....presence. Though years of training taught him to keep that hidden, he was a bit...not focused on that. Instead, he was tinkering with his blaster pistol. When the world "Empire" was spoken by one of those...impressionable individuals, Jarrik couldn't help but glance in their direction and raise a brow. That very word made him shiver a bit. He was glad the Empire was done for, but the mere mentioning of it....It creeped him out a bit.

I don't want to hear your snowflake story, you are a moron at best, and a Jedi at worse. Either way, I don't care what you have to say. My TIE is in Bay 214. There's a couple less corpses for us to step over there..."

Out but never out of reach. * He remains calm despite the angry words of the soldier. The impulse to strike down or simply crush his throat through the power of the force was nearly overwhelming but he showed restraint. There was something about Jeremiah that made him special in some way. He could feel it through the force and thus he kept his composure. He took a breath to steady himself then gave a simple nod to agree to the terms. His suit coat falls back into place. As for Jarrik, well Anzek wasn't trained to sense other Force users for that was the job of Inquisitors. His training was combat oriented and less so espionage and clandestine operations.* Just make sure to step lightly, soldier... Heh... I mean "civilian" sudden movements can make me edgy and well... * He lets the statement end there before stepping back to allow Jeremiah to lead the way. He doesn't answer Shaena just yet but would answer here in due time like when they were all somewhere they could speak more privately* Lead on... * He says to Jerry*

Jeramiah was about to leave, when suddenly a man slid his chair over to them and just started... talking. Jeramiah was way beyond done at that point, and simply picked up his glass, downed what was left, and slammed it against the bar, upside down. As quickly as he'd shot Anzek's goons, he turned on his heel to leave, going straight to his ship. If Anzek or Shaena wanted to stay with him and talk, they knew where Jeramiah would be. He'd given them the dock number, and the spaceport was not that big.

*The situation was already tense enough before Jarrik approached them. He'd never seen the man before but a glance over his attire and after hearing his words Anzek views the man as a spacer and one looking for a job of some sort* Your sense of timing could use some fixing first. We're not interested at the moment. * He gestured his hand at the man in a casual manner* We're not of interest to you. * A subtle little use of the Force. He had no idea who the man was and whatever business he was about could be addressed maybe at a later time if Anzek ever saw him again. He looked over at Shaena then nodded and moved to follow along after Jeremiah, the man who nearly broke his glass in one slam. He had a lot of rage in him, Anzek liked that and he could use it. He strolled after him like a man walking through a peaceful garden in full control of emotions and with his hands folded smartly behind his back.*
[23:28:26]
Shaena Karath would begin to follow Jeramiah toward the mentioned docking platform, though she did pause when she saw Anzek pause to speak to the man that had offered to tune up his ship. A stern look of disapproval was shot Anzek's way when she saw the handwaving gesture, knowing enough about Jedi to see that it was a use of a mind influencing power. She shook her head however and followed off after the storm trooper, not wanting to see the end result.
[23:29:05]Jarrik Muuziek
Jarrik sneered. Typical Emperials. Snobby as can be. As an act of petty revenge, he'd ever so subtlely flick his fingers, using the force to just try and trip that angry stormtrooper. "Oh. That's a shame to hear." He shook his head. And if that man was trying a mind trick, it wasn't going to work. "If I might ask, you lot are quite out of place here. What's the occasion?" He asked, raising a brow and standing up as well, crossing his arms and walking a bit behind the lot.

Fortunately for Jarrik, Jeramiah didn't notice that he'd tripped on nothing. Unfortunately, he was so used to being this drunk, that he only minorly stumbled into the doorway as he left, caught himself, and kept walking as if nothing had happened. After all, why would he question it? He was drunk, angry, and trying to stumble his way back to his ship. He glanced back to Shaena, giving her a kind of, "Isn't this guy an idiot?" Look while he was busy talking to the other man in the bar, just before he caught up with them. After a few minutes of walking, he led them to a docking bay with the most peculiar looking TIE fighter. It was big, almost the size of one of the Corellian frieghters, which meant it probably wasn't as fast as it's fighter cousins. It was shaped like a longer TIE Advanced, but the rear housed a turbolaser turret, which looked like it was possibly functional. There was a doorway on the back, where it looked like perhaps it was supposed to be a troop carrier, but the door was half welded shut, to seal in the Hyperdrive. It looked like it had all of the drawbacks of a TIE fighter, but none of the advantages... perhaps it was self explanatory why it didn't catch on.

*Did Shaena have a better idea? Whoever this Jarrik was seemed determined not to let them pass in peace and be about their business. The man continued to talk and Anzek said nothing. He caught the look from Shaena and shrugged. Clearly his little trick didn't work which is curious. That is known to happen at times and Anzek isn't exactly known for his mind tricks, that's not really his strongest force ability. However he does know how to be patient and thus he continues following Jeremiah even after he stumbles. He too writes it off as the man being intoxicated and once they reach the hanger bay he takes time to enter last so he can turn and lock the blast doors behind them to seal the private hanger bay off and leave Jarrik locked out of their conversation. He shakes his head then turns to look over the Tie fighter that Jeremiah owns, a rather large one at that. He makes a note of it thinking it a custom job if nothing else* Well then here we are Colonel. You know why our angry friend isn't out on duty given his civilian status as for me... Well my story a bit of a long one. Care to tell us what you wish to talk about or shall I go first? * Jeremiah's drunken insolence is almost utterly ignored by Anzek for the Royal Guard as drilled to have discipline and he never lost control unless he wanted too, no, he's oddly calm and cool. *

"What a piece of junk!" the hapan ISB agent exclaimed loudly when she saw the ship. She was rarely so blunt, but perhaps all the excess aggression in the area had caused her to be a bit loose lipped? As Anzek did his best to seal Jarrik off. He was in an incredible mood to be a bother today. So yet again, he'd apply his skill in the force to keep those doors from shutting as quickly. In fact, just holding it for Jarrik to slip in. "Oop. Doors are a bit sticky, huh?" He chuckled a bit. He then nearly choked when looking at the banged up TIE. "That is by far, the most beautiful piece of junk I've ever seen." He said, admiring it from a distance. "Yeeesh. I wouldn't board that thing if I were you." He whispered as he walked up beside Shaena "Official Imperial business? You do realize...The Empire's as good as gone, right? No offense to uhh.....you all. But....I have to be a bit blunt here." He rose a brow. He crossed his arms, but kept that lightsaber, hidden in the inside pocket of his vest, ready in case he struck a nerve. "Besides, I can't just let you take off on THAT. At least you should let me take a look at the poor girl." He frowned, as if actually empathizing with the ship.
[23:55:00]Jeramiah Thrall
Jeramiah didn't even stop to look back at Jarrik. The only thing that gave him pause, was Shaena insulting his ship. "Uh, excuse me? She's got a friggin' TURBOLASER on the back of it! She might not be quick, but she's quicker than anything with a damaged engine. From it's included turbolaser" he explained, before glancing back to see that Anzek was still dealing with this guy. He was going to give him a pass, but if he was dumb enough to cross the threshold into his hanger bay, he was going to grab his blaster carbine from behind the door and dump the whole battery into him.

*Anzek beat Jarrik to the punch this time. He was trying to keep from causing a scene but now it appeared this man was determined to get into trouble he didn't need especially since he was being obnoxious to three imperials who are already tense, one of them drunk and angry. His lips form a cold thin line showing his annoyance but he says nothing at all. A look of anger begins to fill his eyes and when he sees Jarrik move his hands to keep the doors open he begins to wonder. The man had shrugged off his mind trick and now this? Clearly there is something more going on. He steps aside to let the man continue to run his mouth and while behind the jedi he draws his blaster, flicks it to stun and at point blank range, and with the weapon held close to Jarrik's back to ensure the skilled marksman wouldn't risk hitting the Colonel or Jerry, he fires three shots just to make sure he knocks the bastard out.*

(( oh brother, cover is about to BLOWN.)
[0:05:41]
Shaena Karath seriously stressed out now, not least because of the stupid ugly ship she might find herself flying in, the random civilian following them FROM what could be regarded as a double-murder scene where she had recruited two potential assets who didn't seem to like each other and now the stun shots. She just shook her head and approached Jeramiah, looking over her shoulder at the scene.. "...So about your reactivation...."
[0:11:33]Jeramiah Thrall
Jeramiah's smirk melted when she said the word, "Reactivation", and then he turned to face her again from inside the doorway of his ship, grabbing his E-11 blaster just in case the fight that was happening behind them spilled over into their conversation. "Whoa, now, I said I'd work for you. I didn't say anything about reactivation. Do you even have a Star Destroyer? Because I don't exactly feel like throwing a leg over the old speeder bike if you don't have the firepower to keep order. I might as well go find a cushy contract for a Hutt if that's the case."
[0:13:07]Jarrik Muuziek
But perhaps it was Jarrik who beat Anzek to the punch. Jarrik was not stupid. Sensing the anger in the man behind him, and feeling him step toward him was quite simple. This gave Jarrik the critical edge to NOT have his cover blown....while unconscious, at least. He ignited his lightsaber and wheeled around on his feet just in time to be able to prevent the man from zapping him down. Aaand now there stood the Corellian Freighter pilot, holding a purple-bladed lightsaber and looking almost dumbfounded. He gradually began stepping back and away from the lot. Not good. Not good. A simple attempt to make away with some cash ended in his cover being totally blown. He'd say nothing now as he started to make his way towards the door leading to the hangar where his own ship was docked. "Well. This has been...Ahem. Enlightening...Uhuhuh...." He chuckled nervously.

Jedi... * Anzek remarks while keeping is pistol aimed at the man. He wasn't looking for a fight this evening but he never thought he would encounter a Jedi either. Sure he'd seen some force users during his time in the Empire and even during the clone wars, but not in recent years. It's a bit of a surprise to him really. * I'm sure it has been. * Anzek says with a cold edge to his words. He had bad memories of the Jedi and there is a very old grudge he holds against them but still he is smart. This hanger no doubt has cameras and when he concludes his business he'd be sure to check them and get a profile for this man which he would no doubt share with Shaena. As the Jedi backs away Anzek lowers the pistol and backs up towards the Tie fighter where Shaena and Jeremiah are* Now that, Soldier... * He says to Jerry* Is a Jedi, note the difference. * Then he speaks to Jarrik* Oh yes it's been most enlightening. I'll be seeing you soon, of that you can rest assured... Jedi * He speaks the word Jedi like it's poison *

Shaena Karath snapped her head at the snap-hiss of a lightsaber figuring Anzek had taken it a step further, but she hadn't expected to see whom she had assumed to be a tweeked out homeless man wielding one. "Son of a...." she whispered and watched as Jarrik backed away. This had certainly been one of her more interesting nights in awhile. "I have a suitable vessel, yes. * So what started out as a trip to Ord Mantell to check out the refugee situation and make a few deals turned into a wild night involving an Imperial agent, an angry drunk soldier and the discovery of a Jedi. Once the Jedi was out of the hanger he waves his hand to hit the controls and make sure they lock. That done he turned towards the other two and saw the ex-trooper return to his ship and pass out from his wild night no doubt. He clears his throat, passes his hands down over his shirt to flatten it out then set his green eyes upon the Colonel* Quite a night it's been hasn't it, Colonel? * He displays a confident smirk then points up at the cameras around the hanger. Unlike the Jedi Anzek had been smart enough not to open display his lightsaber but now the jedi was on video* I'm sure the security footage will give all you need to track the idiot. * He moved to approach her and was so bold as to stop only a foot or two before her. At 5'2 she is significantly shorter than Anzek who stands at 6'1 which might be a bit intimidating if they were not "allies" so to speak* Don't let it trouble you, Colonel. I have ways of dealing with those types. * And he'd probably be giving Fett a call at some point* Where were we, Colonel? You were asking questions about my past?
[0:44:58]
Shaena Karath nodded. "I will download and forward the footage to the Inquisition. We have more important things to handle than some rogue Jedi, and it would be best left in the hands of those trained to deal with such matters." she clasped her hands behind her back, looking prim and proper as one might expect an imperial officer to do as she looked up at him, the height difference notable. "Why weren't you on the second death star with the emperor?"

Because I wasn't at the first one either... * He replies sharply* Life and the Force are both interesting creatures. I wouldn’t expect you to know much about the former but there are forces, Colonel, which guide us all far beyond anything we could possibly hope to control… You see when I knew the Emperor he was still the Grand Chancellor of the Republic… * He pauses to let his words sink in and no doubt the math wouldn’t escape her for Anzek could be no more than 30 at best. He gives her a tiny bit of a smirk* I served during the Clone Wars but do to some misfortune I was taken from service and encased in carbonite during the battle of Kashyyyk. A long story but to save time I wasn’t discovered and brought back until around the time the Rebels had destroyed the first death star… At that time I was newly awakened to a galaxy I no longer recognized and the Emperor I knew no longer existed… I don’t mean to insult your sensibilities, Colonel, but the Emperor who died at Endor was not the Emperor I originally served. Perhaps his lust for power corroded his mind… All those who served him blindly died but myself? * He places a hand against his chest* I remain and am flourishing… What of you? What are you doing so far away from imperial space when the Empire is on the defensive just trying to hold what territories they have?
Shaena Karath has joined Star Wars: The New Era
[1:02:15]
Shaena Karath gave a nod as she took all of that in. It was...certainly something new to her. She couldn't imagine what it was be frozen in limbo for so long and awaken in a galaxy you didn't recognize. She cleared her throat. "I'm putting a team together to try and do just that; save what we have left. Because no matter what you might think of the man the Emperor became, the fact is the Republic is too weak to allow to be restored. I am a spymaster, sir, and a spymasters duties often taken her far and abroad. I am always working for the Empire though, that much I can assure you."
[1:08:49]Anzek Dirano
I have no doubt of that, Colonel. Your posture is immaculate and your demeanor that of someone who has had years of military training and discipline drilled into you… Also you’re a Colonel, no small feat for a woman given the Empire’s clear policy on aliens and anyone not a male. *That little smirk again* Don’t worry I’m not nearly as judgmental… * He looked over at the Tie fighter then turned and began to walk over towards the entrance of the hanger only to pause and turn to make sure she would follow* It occurs to me you don’t know who I am. I must have forgotten to introduce myself. My name is Anzek Dirano and I’m sure it’s a pleasure to meet you. * He would pause to offer his right hand to her, the real hand as his left is artificial. Being a Spymaster she might have heard his name a time or two as the Dirano Mafia is known to operate in Hutt space and while not as powerful as the Black Sun nor the Hutts their power is enough to make them known and further rumors say they are an up and coming crime power to be reckoned with * And what would this team do and who exactly would we answer to? The Emperor is dead. To whom do you claim to follow?
[1:14:09]Shaena Karath
Shaena was forced to remain silent on that. She could have risen to her current rank and position on her own merit, but it had been far easier to simply marry into it. She had heard of the Dirano Mafia somewhere before but struggled to remember it at the moment, given the stressful situation earlier. She would look into it later. She took the offered hand and shook it. "I follow the ideals of the Empire for now. Let's just leave it at that."

I’m afraid I cannot. * He clasped his hand around her own when she takes it but when she tries to draw back he holds it firm in almost vice like grip though he would hardly apply enough pressure to hurt her. Why hurt her? Instead his green eyes fix upon her own with a look that almost seems to be reading her. He can sense her emotions through the force and he lightly probes at them now. He’s not overly gifted in the mental aspects of the force but even an initiate can sense the surface emotions* An Empire with no leader is no Empire at all… None the less I like you. I don’t why but I do… * He turns her hand over then lightly leans in to place a light kiss upon her soft flesh making sure to keep contact all the while. He then releases her hand to show a very charismatic smile* I’d made wise investments, Colonel. While most of my competitors see only crime and rule by fear, well, I see the bigger picture. I’ve invested money in MandoMetals to have access to the best ships. Money in BlastTech to have the best weapons and other investments for weapons and armor. I see the value of having legal income and access to all the things that make men wealthy and powerful… Why exactly should I devote my resources to the Empire? Heh… * A slight chuckle* Sweeten the pot a little, Colonel and tell what exactly you desire.

Shaena Karath took the offered brandy, because it was the polite thing to do. She wasn't a fan of the Corellian stuff but she drank it down with only the sligest of grimaces as she listened to his proposal....which turned out to be terribly complicated from her perspective. The hutt's controlled enough resources and had a spy network to rival anything the Empire had, and they could make this very hard for her in a hurry. "I trust your plan is a good one. You seem like a smart man, and any smart man knows the hutts are not to be trifled with lightly."
[2:06:47]Anzek Dirano
That is a matter of perspective... Their leaders are not to be trifled is but then again neither is a Dark Jedi such as myself. * He smiled. After taking the flask back he tucked it into his coat* The Hutts have a weakness few care to exploit, they are arrogant and lack long term vision. The best way to fight a snake is not to engage it head on but to cut off the head. The Empire is in a state of chaos at the moment. The Republic is still trying to grow and learn how to deal with the new responsibilities of power it has inherited when the Empire started to fall back. Both the Empire and Republic need allies and the Hutts are not so foolish as to ignore the fact they have bargaining power for if they chose a side it can tip the scales of power considerably... Now the best way to deal with them is to take out their leadership in mighty blow... * He takes a step closer to her* Just as the virtue of a maiden can be robbed by a man with enough charm sweet words so can an Empire be broken without a war... The defeat of the Empire should tell you that. * He lifted one hand and with a soft gesture he touched her cheek, a bold move yes, but he's not Imperial officer anymore and she isn't his superior. He makes sure she is looking him in the eyes as he holds his hand against her cheek* If you offered them a deal, brought them together in one place for just a bit of time, well, I can do the rest. If their leadership dies they will scatter and fracture just like the Empire did after Endor. We can learn from the past and use it to our advantage. With the Hutts is disorder and the Empire backing the new Crime family, what could stop us? With me in control the Republic will lose the trade routes in Hutt space and all their resources and you would gain them. It's a deal that works out for both of us and not nearly as complicated as you think. Murder is easy, Colonel. Living with the after math is the hard part.
[2:13:39]
Shaena Karath looked up at him curiously even as he touched her cheek the way he did. "You shouldn't mistake me for some virtuous maiden, Anzek." she replied flatly, though her cheeks did flush just a tad red like any womans would when she was being paid attention by any handsome man. She thought the proposal over a few times and decided to simply go with it. She knew that nothing worth doing would be easy, and those in power often sat on a house of cards. So why not start building her own? "I'll do my best, then. It will take time and some string pulling...but I can do it."
[2:18:59]Anzek Dirano
*She's a master spy and she should very well she plays at a dangerous game as does Anzek. Her game is especially dangerous for when lightsabers and the Force is involved, well, such things have nearly ripped the galaxy apart in times past. He noticed the flush and dropped his hand from her cheek* I take you for nothing less than a lovely woman with Imperial rank. There is nothing I underestimate about you, Shaena. * He uses her name for the first time, a sign of endearment and one well timed on his part. * I know you'll succeed where others will fail because all who oppose you will just see a woman or an imperial. They will never see you coming, they will under estimate you and they will learn far too late you're no one to be trifled with. I see strength in you but more than that I see vision... but what of your resolve? * This is where it gets dangerous. The more time she spends with him the more charming he becomes, the sweeter his words and was this some trick of the force? Who is to say but it is Anzek Dirano* What price are you willing to pay for victory, Colonel? How much are you willing to sacrifice and how far will you go to see your dream become a reality?* His eyes fixed on her then while his hands folded loosely behind his back*

Something like... For the Royal Guards the saying was death before dishonor. * He shrugged for now a days those words meant only memory to him. At one point they were words he lived by but that day had come and gone and now he could concentrate on the future* Nal Hutta is the heart of Hutt power. The birth place of the Hutts and one without a planetary shield. * He turned from her and removed a small projector from his coat which he held out for her to see* While I have contacts with MandoMetals and hold some stock in the company I still cannot get my hands on military grade cruisers... That is where you come in. * The holo image was of an Tartan class patrol cruiser. A ship made specifically by the Empire* There are several Imperial factions fighting for power and only the Empire has access to this model of ship. I need two of them from you, Colonel. See the Hutts are suspicious and would never agree to a meeting outside of their area of influence. We draw as many of them to Nal Hutta as possible, and while there we will strike. Two of those little patrol cruisers can be modified. Strip all the weapons, strip get rid of the life support systems, get read of everything save the guidance system and engines. We load them down with as many proton torpedos as their hull will hold and while the Hutts meet we slam the planet with them. * He then looked over at The Colonel to make sure she realizes what he is suggesting* We would turn the planet to slag and make it uninhabitable and take out not only the leaders but a good deal of the clans relatives and make them an endangered species. With such a blow their power would be shattered and they would have to worry about survival as a species... Of course billions of people will die but it's a small price to pay for victory.

You, did."

I sure as hell ain't going to spend one minute sitting across the table from a Jedi, and I sure as hell ain't going to let some child molesting psuedo warrior monk who rubs elbows with walking carpets and lizard bugs pay for my goddamn drink. I should just cap you on principle, but I think I've killed enough people in front of an Officer for one day."

"I'm not deployed, because I'm out. I've been out, I'm a civilian. Which means, neither of you get to bark orders at me." he growled. Luckily, the Deathsticks hadn't quite worn off, or else he'd have been shaking the whole bar by now. He took a deep breath to calm himself, and then closed his eyes, rubing the bridge of his nose with his thumb and forefinger in thought. "Alright. I have a ship. She's finicky, but it's a ship. I'll help you, so long as you-" he turned his eyes on Shaena "-Pay me, and you-" he turned his eyes on Anzek "Shut your mouth. I don't want to hear your snowflake story, you are a moron at best, and a Jedi at worse. Either way, I don't care what you have to say. My TIE is in Bay 214.

What's the occasion?" Fortunately for Jarrik, Jeramiah didn't notice that he'd tripped on nothing.

[0:02:28]Jarrik Muuziek

It's not exaclty the Executor...but we have to start somewhere." she sighed, trying to get back on topic.

"Because Anzek, during the twenty years the Empire stood the Galaxy saw not only peace and prosperity, but growth and strength. You fought in the clone wars, so you should know what weakness the Republic will bring to the galaxy. If none of the current well known imperials prove worthy of putting on the throne...well, then..." she shrugged. "We will find someone worthy, somewhere. But the galaxy deserves order, now more than ever."

*Shaena is a Hapes woman and they are rumored to be some of, if not the most, beautiful people in the galaxy. Her looks do not go unnoticed by Anzek but her looks alone are not what draw him too her even though he is known to enjoy the company of women and fine things in general as can be seen from his immaculate custom made clothing. He of course makes note of the smile and marks it as a minor victory in the charm department for it means she seems to like him which is good if they intend to be involved in any kind of partnership. As she spoke he continued to search her eyes looking for any hint of manipulation or some ulterior motives but her words ring true to him at the very least* Of that you and I are in full agreement. A shattered galaxy is poor for business even to a man such as myself who sells weapons of war amongst other things. How do you propose we turn the tide? The Empire is fractured. Individual Moffs and Admirals have claimed power over their individual regions and refuse the call of those who still claim true loyalty. They’ve lost sight of the goal. How do you propose to change that?

"It won't be easy, Anzek, but nothing worth doing ever is. We start by building an alliance of those that are still loyal to the vision that the Empire was founded on, and then we move to eliminate those that oppose us from within like warlord Zsinj and Isani Ysard. They are the foremost threats at the moment, and we must move quickly to bring justice to them for their treason. And once we have that done...we can proceed from there." It was of course vastly more complicated than that, but why get bogged down in details?
[1:46:55]Rem Loria
Be thankful it wasn't me. )
[1:52:14]Anzek Dirano
The Ironfist? * Anzek replies using the nickname of Zsinj. He'd served during the clone wars so that is a name he is very familiar with* He's still alive then? * He never that plump little fool would last especially this long into life* A half competent commander when I knew him. * He scoffs but when she speaks the second name he has to pause. He'd only heard rumors of the head of Imperial Intelligence but then again Anzek didn't have many contact in modern Imperial intelligence... Well, until now that is* I can help you with that but I want something in return, Colonel. Of course the Empire must rise once more to power and I am in the position to help you, in fact perhaps the force has brought us together for that purpose... * He smiles before reaching into his coat pocket to take out a flask and have a sip of Corellian brandy before offering the flask to her* As I said I have contract with key manufacturers of ships and weapons for many world powers. I also own AnzekCorp which is my own personal technology Corporation operating on Nar Shaddaa. My problem is the Hutts so maybe we can help each other see I want Nar Shaddaa but to take Nar Shaddaa I need to deal with the planet of Hutta... I have a plan that could be worked out but I don't quite have the forces or power to bring it to fruition just yet... But that is where you can help me and in return I will help you by taking out this problem Admiral of yours.
