The heart for the RP, and the central system in the Bright Jewel sector (and oversector), this star system holds several key locations, including Ord Mantell and the Jubilee Wheel.
A bright blue star, the Bright Jewel itself is rare in that it holds two inhabited planets in its orbit, despite it's large size and ferocious stellar output. That coupled with the many other planets and moons made this a densely populated system, made doubly economically important by the fact that it sits on the Celanon Spur (a large trade route spanning all the way to the outer rim and reaching into much of Zsinj's territory) and is the start point of the Entralla Route (another significant trade route, leading into and through the Empire).
Repta
A small planet set too close to its bright, hot star. Repta is considered uninhabitable by almost every species in the galaxy, with a combination of scorching heat during the day, absolute freezing temperatures at night and deadly radiation throughout. Despite this, there are sizeable underground droid mining complexes, which shoot their products out to waiting space stations further out in the system for use.
Ord Mantell
The planet at the heart of the entire oversector, Ord Mantell has become infamous as the Junkyard world, though that is a very incomplete representation. In truth, the planet's environment is predominantly mountainous, it's star is blue, it is surrounded by a thick cometary cloud and fifteen moons. All of this makes for impressive natural beauty. The planet is host to numerous large cities, including Worlport and Ord Mantell City, and the junkyards are mostly concentrated in broad belts set around the industrial sprawl, out of sight of the cities and their famous casinos and clubs. The planet itself is home to four billion sentients, and receives about a billion tourists every year.
All of those fifteen moons are inhabited, though in many cases the population is rather sparse. The most famous is Quantxi, which was converted centuries ago into a moon-sized junkyard. Efforts to transplant Ord Mantell's millennia of junk build-up onto the moon have occurred off and on during this entire period, and while the moon has been covered quite thoroughly in junk, the planet is still very far from cleared.
Orbiting Ord Mantell is the Jubilee Wheel, one of the best ports of call in the oversector for those unafraid to explore the seedy side of the galaxy. A circular space station whose construction was never completed (and many now suspect never will be), the docking fees are cheap, services and trade is plentiful and the diversity of goods and pleasures found on the surface are also found here, without a need to travel through Ord Mantell's polluted atmosphere.
The planet is also host to several other space stations, including two other trade-focused space stations, four Golan II defense space stations bristling with weapons and a large shipyard deepdock large enough for Star Destroyer construction. Much of the deepdock's supplies come from the planet's surface, where a large facility has been set up, finding workable materials from the junkyards, recycling them and then shooting them via railgun up to the deepdock.
Cairns
In any other star system, Cairns would have been an important planet and a hub for trade, but sharing the system with Ord Mantell means that it has always been overshadowed, and always will be. Further from the star, lacking the spectacular natural beauty of Ord Mantell and far less densely populated, Cairns has come to be seen as the breadbasket for the star system.
Agrarian development covers a fair portion of the planet's surface, ranging from small single-family farms to enormous domed-over industrial-scale farming outfits. Some parts of the planet are still entirely wild, which isn't surprising due to its small population of only one billion.
Cairns is orbited by two moons, both of which hold bases and docks of various kinds, a single trade-focused space station, and a single Golan II defense platform. Most consider the platform overkill for the defense of what is essentially a whole lot of wilderness and farms.
Su Expross
Often also called Wynkahthu, it is a fair-sized gas giant. Moderately close to the hot blue star at the center of the system, the incoming heat from the star has caused the planet to become host to fantastic storms, many of them lasting for millennia and with wind speeds capable of shearing a Star Destroyer apart. Consequently, the planet itself is barely inhabited at all. Its 22 moons are host to several colonies, however, including a large subterranean (and sub-aquatic) city on the fourth moon, accessible through the mile-wide cracks on the moon's icy surface.
Quatin
The true giant in the star system, Quatin is far enough from its primary star not to be wracked with storms like Wynkahthu is. It is furthermore one of very few known sources of Tibanna in the galaxy, and though the concentration of the valuable gas in the planet's atmosphere is faint (especially when compared to Bespin), it is nonetheless a lucrative business to extract and refine it. Floating cities dot the enormous planet's atmosphere, space stations orbit it to service the local trade, and many of the 40 moons have mining facilities of some importance. Quatin, not Cairns, is the second most prosperous and important planet in the star system.
Due to its large size and the complexity of its captured asteroid field and moons, Quatin is not defended with static platforms, but instead by a small squadron of warships. Zsinj rotates the ships involved on a regular basis, but a person can count on finding a frigate, a light cruiser, two corvettes and a fair-sized complement of starfighters somewhere within that deep gravity well at any one time. It is worth noting that Quatin is so massive that hyperspace jumps are only possible once a person is further out from the planet than its twelfth moon.
Hota
Known as an ice giant, Hota is a planet far enough away from the Bright Jewel that it is only slightly more luminous than any other star in the sky. Its gaseous atmosphere is cold enough to freeze unprotected sentients of most species almost instantly, and lack the concentration of Tibanna or other valuable resources sufficient to make it worth exploiting. Consequently, the planet itself and its 18 moons are mostly uninhabited - or at least that's what's indicated in official documents. In reality, the planet and its moons are host to numerous bases for smugglers, pirates and other, even more unsavory characters.
